MIRAMAR ESPERANTO SOCIETY
The weekly meeting of the Miramar Esperanto Society took place last Tuesday evening. Mr. Bertram Potts, J.P., presided. Tourist literature in Esperanto from Czechslovakia was exhibited and proved particularly interesting in view of the international situation. "La Kroniko" ("The Chronicle"), the weekly, organ of- the society, was distributed. Instead of the customary class period the time was spent in rehearsing .fourteen short sketches written by the 'president to be presented in Esperanto at the society's official visit to the Hutt Valley Esperanto Club next Tuesday. This will mark 3 the society's first interchange of visits, the Hutt Club having visited Miramar en masse on two occasions. Instead of, meeting next Tuesday as usual at the clubroom members arranged to assemble at 7.30 p.m. at the Kilbirnie Post Office and proceed by cars to Lower Hutt. Supper was served, after which rehearsals continued, while other members played the.- Esperanto, card game of "Lexiconi"
