OUTFLANKED BY CHINESE
(Received September 30, 10.30 ajn.) SHANGHAI, September 29. General Li Tsung-jen claims to have outflanked and surrounded almost the whole of Prince Naruhiko's crack Thirteenth Division near Shawo, The Japanese admit that two Chinese divisions penetrated the Thirteentbjs lines but claim that the Japanese still control the situation. A message from Tokio states that the Japanese claim to have captured Tienkiachen, the last major fortress downstream from Hankow.
