CANADIAN REACTIONS
(Received September 30, 2 p.m.) OTTAWA, September 29. The Government has ordered 200 Air Force pilots here to prepare to fly to Halifax within three hours. The "Vancouver Sun," commenting on the Duke of Windsor's offer to return to England in the event of war, declares that the man who has occupied the Throne is still an honoured member of the Royal Family and should not be abroad where he might conceivably become a hostage. He should end his European, sojourn and go home. • The Canadian Chambers of Commerce, representing 20,000 business men, have forwarded a resolution to Mr. Chamberlain commending his tremendous efforts for world peace.
