CONDITIONS FOR CESSION OF SUDETEN TERRITORY

'(Received September 30, 2.15 p.m.) Mr. Neville Chamberlain announced in Munich that an agreement has been signed. The official German news agency announced that the statesmen of the-four Powers signed an agreement at 12.30 a.m. covering conditions governing methods of cession of the Siideten German territory. Mr. Chamberlain and M. Daladier left the Fuhrerhaus at 1.30 a.m. Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini left together, and Signor Mussolini proceeded to the station to join a train for Rome. An official communique states that the evacuation will begin on October 1 and is to be completed by October 10. The communique specifies an agreement between Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Italy, but does not specify Czechoslovakia. The evacuation is to he completed without existing installations being destroyed, and the Czechs are to be held responsible for evacuation without damage being done. These territories will be occupied by international bodies until the plebiscites are completed.
