MR. NASH AND PERMIT FEES
"Never has a member of- Parliament expressed himself more definitely than did Mr. Nash in 1930, when he said 'all Government Departments should pay the fees which priyate companies and persons are required to pay,'" said Mr. J. W. Andrews, Nationalist candidate for , the Hutt seat, in his address at Petone last evening. "And never has a member so deliberately failed to stand by those principles as when in 1936 he declined to pay permit fees on houses, which all private companies and individuals have to pay. This refusal cost the ratepayers over £6000, or 30s each."
