THE EX-QUEEN OF SPAIN
The ex-Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain, with Lady Carisbrooke and others, were among the members of the smart first-night audience at the Leicester Square Theatre for "The Rage of Paris" who had to take their places patiently in < the long', queue making for the exit after the show, states Marianne Mayfayre in the "Daily Telegraph." The Queen, who wore a becoming pinkish woollen dinner frock and one of the new Ishort shoulder capes of fur —hers was of sable, which is a change from the popular silver foxsat in the front row of the circle. The theatre was crowded, and efforts to make quickly for one or other of the exits were useless. The sight of the ex-Queen taking her place in the slowly-moving crowd brought memories of piquant contrast to at least one member of the audience, who recalled the spectacle not so very many years ago of the Queen of Spain making regal progress from thej Royal box at the Opera House in Madrid.
