The course is within easy range Wellington by rail and road. A speci train leaves Wellington at 9.5 a.m. a returns after the races at 5.40 p.m., a riving in Wellington at 7.32 p.m. O dinary trains leave Wellington at 8. a.m. and 10.15 a.m. A special train f Otaki also leaves Palmerston North 9.30 a.m. tomorrow. She is stated to be working well and will — make her next appearance at Hastings. Areas, who cost 800 guineas at the r yearling sales, is to make his first appearance at Hastings. He is closely re- £ lated to Te Hero and Gallio, being by Hunting Song from Callisto, a daughter of Prodice, who produced the first- s , named pair. ' The only horse engaged at Otaki tomorrow who was a winner on the j course in June is Flying Acre. However, last December Lustral, Alunga, t and Galteemore were winners; last - October Southern Blood, Son and i Heir< and Mittie were winners; and J the .previous season Meamea, Export, t Revival, and Dorado all won on the track.
