EQUITABLE BUILDING DIVIDEND. The Equitable Building and Investment Company of Wellington, Ltd., has advised the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand that the first debenture stock interest for the period August 9 to September 30 falls due on October 1. With it the directors have decided to pay by way of interim dividend for the half-year ending September 30, a sum equivalent to 5 per cent, per annum on the share capital as at April 1 last, for the period March 31 to August 9, 1938. The transfer books are closed until after payment of interest and interim dividend on October 1.
