SLIPE WOOLS DEARER
(Received September 29, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, September 28. Offerings at the wool sales today were 9389 bales, including 4830 bales New Zealand, 8564 bales being sold. The selection offered was good and chiefly of crossbreds. There was an active demand. Crossbreds and slipes sold well, with the latter quoted at 5 and 10 per cent, higher than at the close of the last series.
I The Bank of New Zealand, Produce Department, has been advised by its London office that the sale of sheepiskins, fixed for October 6, has been postponed until October 19.
