PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE.

LONDON, September 28;

It was announced after-a meeting of Cabinet that the British bFle'et was mobilising:. The Admiralty announced that the mobilisation was a precautionary measure.

The Naval proclamations issued to^ day call up all officers and men of the Royal Naval Reserve, the Royal Fleet Reserve, and the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. They also extend the service of those serving iri the Royal Navy and Marines and call up officers on the retired and emergency lists of the Navy and Royal Marines, also the special reserve of Naval Engineer officers and the Royal Marine Special Reserve officers. > The War Office announces that normal anti-aircraft training will be carried out by searchlight units tonight, when searchlights will be exposed and target aeroplanes will be in the air. PREPARATIONS IN BRITAIN. City banks and business houses are arranging duplication of records, and in some cases are moving their Offices to the country.
