FIGHTING IN CHINA
TOKIO, September 28.
Rains checked the Japanese advance on Sinyang. The Chinese are strongly defending Tienshiacheng and are launching repeated counter-attacks. The Chinese declare they regained important points. The Japanese declare they captured 5000 guerrillas in south Shansi.
The Chinese air force .again came into action in Loshan, inflicting heavy casualties.
