A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Holy Trinity Pro-Cathedral, Suva, on August 10, when Beryl May, elder daughter of- Mr. ■ arid, Mrs. A. J. Wicks, Wellington, was married to Gilbert Ernest, eldest son of; Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Mabin, Nelson. The ceremony was performed by the Venerable Archdeacon Harris.

The bride, who was escorted by the Hon. R. F. Pickering, wore a beautiful robe of white stiffened lace over taffetas. Her long tulle veil falling in graceful folds,' from a coronet of gardenias and orange blossom formed a train, and she carried a bouquet of white Eucharist lilies, roses, and gardenias.. The bridesmaid, Miss • Barbara Malfroy, of Auckland (cousin of the bridegroom), wore a lovely gown of ohi gold satin with scarlet accessories. Her gold tulle veil was worn with a circlet of scarlet roses, and she carried a bouquet of scarlet roses, ixora, and maidenhair fern. A reception was held at the Grand Pacific Hotel, where Mrs. A. J. Wicks and Mr. E. E. Mabin received the guests, the bride's mother wearing a model frock of wine embossed sheer, with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of roses and ixora. Mrs. W. E. Arnold, of Wellington, who accompanied the bridal party to Suva, wore black lace, and carried a bouquet of pink frangi-pane. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Mabin left for a motor tour of the Islands, the bride wearing a white linen costume and white hat embroidered in pastel shades.
