NURSING DIVISION

A meeting of the Wellington South Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Overseas was held on Tuesday, Mrs. Barltrop, Lady District Superintendent, ' presented .Service Chevrons to Miss Paul and Mrs. Bryan; Warrants of Appointment to Mrs. Neal, Ambulance Officer, and Miss McCarthy, late Cadet Superintendent, and the Grand Prior's Badge to Miss Evans.

Mrs. Barltrop inspected the division's books and stores. She complimented them on the good work they.did, and specially praised the excellerit secretarial work-, done by .Mrs. Helyer'./

Mrs. Betts, Lady Superintendent, presented a medal to Miss Carroll who tied with Miss Leydon for the "Atalanta Cup." Miss Leydon was not present to receive hers. First-aid books were also presented to two of the winners of the Platts-Mills Cup, the Misses Carroll and McKennie.

Work for the-evening was First Aid Squad work, under the supervision of Mrs. Betts and Mrs. Neal, and inspected by Mrs.. Barltrop. Earlier in the evening the cadets met and practised first-aid work, realistic accidents being arranged by Mrs. Miles, superintendent, and Miss Carroll, acting officer. Seven new members jqined up.
