£5,330,000 LOST TO DAIRY FARMERS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The policy of the Labour Government, has, I believe, cost the dairy farmers of New Zealand the nice little nest egg of over £5,000,000 in 2£ years. These are the figures: Guaranteed Price. . £ 1937 Farmers gained 270,000 1938 Farmers lost 600,000 Total cash loss 330,000 Increased Cost. £ 1936-37-38 Loss (estimated) .. 5,000,000 Combined loss 5,330,000 Some consider that £5,000,000 is much below the true figure.—l am, etc., WM.
