WELLINGTON TOURNEY

The Wellington provincial snooker championship was continued last night at Billiards, Limited, Woodward Street. In the first game between R. B Stuart (Petone Working Men's Club) and L. Blakaby (Empire Saloon), Stuart got well away in the first round. Blakaby, by sound play, gradually reduced his opponent's lead in the second round, but Stuart, potting well at the finish, took the game by 125 to 106. The second game was between A. Wakem (Federal Club) and W. F. Donnelley (Working Men's Club). After a really interesting tussle Dorme The iasf "two games were; between B D Davis (Miramar) and F. L. Stewart (City). Stewart, owing to a commanding lead in the first round, won by at 7 o'clock Petley^ (Commercial Travellers) plays Fitzgerald (St Patrick's Old Boys). At 8 o'clock Josling (V.M.C.A.) plays Blundell (Commercial Travellers), and at 9 o'clock Hayvice (Jewish Club; plays Armstrong (Federal). Players should note that the games are not being played in Featherston Street, but at Billiards Limited's new address m Woodward Street.
