BLENHEIM, This Day,
The West Coast golf champion, R. Hay-Mackenzie (Westport), secured a further title when he-annexed the Marlborough provincial championship, defeating E. Reid (Marlborough), 5 and 3in the final. The tournament, which was,contested over three days, drew 70 entries, including players from Auckland, Wellington,,. Christchurch, Westport, and Nelson.
The semi-finalists were Hay-Mac-kenzie and G. N. Francis (Christchurch) and Reid and J. Jeffries (Mart borough). Hay-Mackenzie defeated Francis, 3 and 2, and Reid beat Jeffries, 1 up.
