PROVINCIAL MEETING

The report of the Wellington Province League of Mothers, which is to be presented at the annual meeting in the Blufe Triangle Hall oil Friday afternoon contains a number of interesting features. The meetings of the branches, it is stated, have been well sustained, and much interest taken in really worthwhile subjects. The branches, -thirtythree in number, have strongly supported the magazine which is issued under charge of Miss Mary Richmond. Successful conferences were held, and addresses were delivered, at the various meetings. •"'• ' Much regret is expressed at the retirement of Mrs. H. W. Kersley from the position of provincial president, and deep appreciation is expressed at the extent and value of her work, both as president and as organising secretary. Regret is also expressed at the resignation of Mrs. Cornish as honorary secretary of the league during the year, and also that Mrs. R. Y. Collins had to give up the position of organiser. Appreciation is expressed of the work of Mrs. Vance, who has since been 11 ? organiser and has established two good branches, one at Wellington East and one at Terrace End. The subject of creche making was spoken about by Mrs. Stanley Harris, I with the result that several more branches established creches, and she is thanked for her work. Special ! thanks are given to Mrs. Charles White (Dominion president) and to Mrs. L. Wall (Dominion secretary) for their help and counsel on many occasions. ,
