PARENTS ENTERTAIN
DANCE AT SCOTS COLLEGE
Success attended the dance given by the Scots College Parents' Association in the college gymnasium on Saturday night. The attendance v/as large without discomfort to the dancers, and the orchestra was in particularly good : form, so that there was every incen- : tive to enjoy the dance. Decorations were most effective. The well-known college colours, red, grey, and black, were much in evidence, and : in the form, of ears of wheat made an . unusual display. The walls of the i gymnasium were hung with flags, that , of the college being specially featured, I and pipes painted in the colours were set about the room and filled with the gay "wheat" made of glistening cellophane. Bamboo made a cool back-j ground to the colourful scene. 1' Mr. E. -Fraser, president of the : Parents' Association, received the 1 guests with Mrs. Fraser and Mrs. W. Mrs. Fanselow, Mr. and Mrs. Booker, Mrs. Hole, Mr. and Mrs. Awtry, Mr. Sellen, Mrs. Richmond, Dr. and Mrs. McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Buckleton, Mr. and Mrs. McCormack. Mr. and Mrs. Buckleton gave an exhibition dance which was much appreciated. Among those present were the acting principal, Mr. Francis and Mrs. Francis, the chairman of the governing board, Mr. A. L. Wall, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Lawson, Mr. and Mrs. Salek, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. Moss, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Frood, Misses Margaret Johnstone, Marjorie Banner, Edith McKerizie, Genevive Holm, Patricia Inns, Forbes, Mary Gordon, Mary Wall, McKenzie, Messrs.
