BUTTER MARKET

FURTHER DECLINE

(By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, September 24. The butter market has further declined owing to continued lack of inquiry and prices appear to be purely nominal. Continental brands share 5 this weakness with the Dominions' butter. Canadian butter has sold as low as 108s a cwt. Cold stored stocks have passed their peak and have been reduced by 4358 tons compared with August. They stood at 31,109 tons on September 10,1 compared wtih 21,909 tons last year. j The cold store situation, apart from political uncertainties, is disturbing the market, especially as European production remains good. |
