VICEREGAL VISIT
RIDDIFORD ROCK GARDEN
On the invitation of the New Zealand Alpine and Rock Garden Society, their Excellencies Lord and Lady Galway have consented to visit the society's rock gardens at Riddiford Park on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 18, at 2.30 o'clock. Country members are invited to time their trip to Wellington to fit in with the viceregal visit and join in the welcome to their Excellencies.
Considerable' alterations and improvements are being carried out by the Reserves Department of the Lower Hutt Borough Council. The rock gardens are being overhauled and reconstructed by the society, and to commemorate their visit their Excellencies will plant memorial trees.
