DUTCH NAVAL INCREASES
THE HAGUE, September 23.
The navy is to have additions of 11 torpedo-boats, 10 torpedo aeroplanes, six light escort vessels, and a reserve gunboat in order to safeguard the overseas trade.
The navy of the Dutch East Indies has added eight motor torpedo-boats and four groups of torpedo aeroplanes.
More aeroplanes are being built in Holland. .

Evidently Mr. Savage has had cause to doubt whether his policy is as popular as he thought. Of course, no one doubted that either Mr. Atmore or Mr. McDougall would broadcast, but to allow both is r&ther over the limit, even though they stand as Independents. May I ask why Mr. Wright, whose popularity is shown by the fact that he headed the list for the Wellington municipal / elections, was not allowed to broadcast? Is it that his criticism would expose too much for the comfort of Labour.— I am, etc.
