STAKES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP
New Zealand-bred horses won four of the seven races at the West Australian Trotting Club's Gloucester Park Meeting on August 13. They were Germanicus, Rustle, Rollo, arid Tommy Dillon. Germanicus was a useful performer in Canterbury, where Rpllo won many good handicaps. Rustle won in Auckland and Tommy Dillon has won a large number of races since going to Perth. He is now 14 years old. Arrangements having been concluded regarding the next InterDominion Championship to be held at Launceston, Tasmania, on December 31, January 3, 5, and 7, the sum of £3500 has been allotted, of which £2050 will be for the main events;. The Grand Final will be worth £1000.
