PUBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Public Service Bowling Association was held lon Wednesday, when it was decided to hold the next tournament on the Hataitai, Kelburn, and Thorndon greens on February 2, 1939. Eight sections of six teams each will be nlayed. . The officers for the coining year were elected as follows: —Presid_nt, Mr. W. Gilbert (Public Trust); hon. secretary, Mr. W. R. Jourdain (superannuated); hon. treasurer, Mr. C. Holden (Audit); committee, Messrs. C. R. Insram (Post and Telegraph), P. J. Wright (Railways), D. G. Munro (Public Trust), W. H. Fletcher and Penlington (Superannuated); hon. auditor, Mr. W. E. Shaw (Lands and Survey). It was decided to give open orders as prizes to the winning team and the rurihers-up. , Votes of thanks to the ladies' committee and the executives of the clubs whose greens were used, and to the Press, were passed.
