REFRACTORY BISHOP
NAZI ORDER DEFIED
(Received August 26, 9.50 a.m.) BERLIN, August 25. The Bishop of Rothentaurg, who has been in high disfavour since he explained that he had not voted for the Nazi Party, Which he declared was sending enemies of the Church to the Reichstag, was ordered to leave his diocese. He refused, declaring that he could not renounce his duties. It is not known whether he was forcibly expelled. Nazis allege that he insolently violated his political obligations.
