SALVAGE OF TUG

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 25. Progress was made on tonight's tide with the work of moving the sunken tug Te Awhina into shallower water, where it will be possible to carry out the repairs necessary before she can be refloated.

It was calculated that at low tide early tomorrow morning she will be resting in a little more than 18 feet of water. It is hoped that with one more move on tomorrow evening's tide, the Te Awhina will rest in approximately 12 feet of water at the next low tide, making pumping operations possible.
