The anticyclone lying over the Dominion has persisted and intensified somewhat, its centre remaining over the South Island. A widespread area of disturbed conditions with a cyclonic centre off the Xew South Wales coast has covered the north Tasman Sea, while, also pressure this morning has fallen very sharply at Hobart. Winds have been light and variable over most of the\North Island; and north-east-erly s,trong to gale force in the far north. Weather for the most part has continued fair to fine but along the east coast north of Wellington there have been cloudy to* overcast conditions with occasional very light rain in a few places.
