APOLLO CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Apollo Women's Club was held recently. The meeting was a very happy one and a number of new members were welcomed. 1 The election of qfficers resulted as follows:—-President, Mrs. W. H. P. Walshe; vice-presidents, Mesdames Temple White, H. Rands, and H. Thomas; secretary, Mrs. H.~W. Tickner; treasurer, Miss E. Couchman; executive committee, Mesdames J. Caldwell, Poynton, P..8. Richards, W. M. Sunley, C. E. White, and Miss Calvert; decoration committee, Mesdames G. W. T. Calvert, J. C. Montgomery, and Miss Ching. ,
• The retiring treasurer, Miss Hannah Wilson, was presented with some beautiful flowers and appreciation of her untiring services was expressed.
A delightful programme was thoroughly enjoyed by . all. Vocal duets were given by Mesdames Dunn and Jackson, and songs by Mesdames Blake, Dunn, Hendra, and Jackson. The accompanists were Mrs. Collins and Miss D. Robson. Humorous elocu-r tionary items were rendered by Mrs. Walshe and Miss Shirley King and Miss Dorothy Robson. played two pianoforte solos. v
Supper was served ; by, Mesdames Temple White, Walshe, and Tickner.
