PARTY AT LOWER HUTT
A before^-the-races party was given yesterday ' morning •by Lieut.-Com-mander, T. Ellis, R.N., arid Mrs. Ellis at their home, 6 Biobmfield Terrace, Lower Hutt.' Most of the guests were people fronvtown who called in on their way riut'ito Trentham. Mrs. Ellis was wearing a very smart tailored grey flannel suit," a white crepe de chine blouse, and a brown beret pinned with a diamond brooch.
Among those present were Captain and Mrs. V. G. Webb, Captain E. Grave Morris, Mrs. Arthur Duncan, Mrs. lan Mcßae, Captain Stuart-French, Mrs. Bryan Todd, Mrs. Geoffrey Goodwin, Mrs. Jim Vogel,,Mr. and Mrs. Peter Grant, Mrs. Welton Hogg, Mr. McC. Reid, Mr. R. Boulter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Turrell, Mrs. C. A. L. TreadWell, Mrs. .Lindsay Gilmour, Miss Shirley Ormond ' (Gisborne), Mrs. Hubert Nathan, and Miss Joyce Nathan, and Mrs. Jack Harris.
