WEDDING
NORTON—IRVINE.
The wedding was solemnised at the Basilica.of the Sacred Heart, Hill Street, recently of Margaret Devlin ("Johnnie"), fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Irvine, late of West Calder, Scotland, and John Frederick, second son of Mr. and the late Mrs. G. F. Norton, Wellington. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Dr. Walsh, while Miss Milligan presided at the organ. The two altar boys were the bride's brothers, William and Bernard Irvine.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown. of ivory satin with very full flared skirt which fell into a graceful, square train. The bodice was ruched from the neck to the waistline in front and trimmed at the back with J;iny buttons, while the neck was finished with a roll collar. Her hand-embroidered veil was of tulle and fell from a coronet of three white roses and maidenhair fern to form a second train. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, gladioli, and maidenhair fern.
