FINE BUT VERY BLEAK
Though the weather was fine for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club's Winter Meeting, a southerly wind kept conditions bleak, and the track was in appalling order, a record, for stickiness. The attendance . was again large.
The totalisator investments for the day were £46.546 10s (£21,797 10s win, £24,749t place), as against £43,003 10s (£2Q v 4OS 10s win, £22,598 place) last year, an increase of £3543. For the two days to date the aggregate is £98,211, compared with £89,931 for the first two days last year.
