INTOXICATED OF DRUNK?
The difference between intoxication and drunkenness was raised in a case heard by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in i the Magistrate's Court today. "Do you understand the difference between being in a state of intoxication and being drunk?" the Magistrate asked a witness. I "In my opinion, sir, there is no difference," said the witness, and later j added, "I should say that a man who is drunk is more intoxicated than a man who is intoxicated. Do you fol- j low me?" I The Magistrate: No, not quite. I "I think that a man who is intoxii cated is stupid, and so on," said the witness, "and a man who is drunk is worse still." j
