BOMBS IN SHANGHAI
JAPANESE OBJECTIVES
•SHANGHAI, July 7. Three bombs thrown simultaneously, on the Bund at 6 a.m. today marked the beginning of the first anniversary, of hostilities. The objectives of th« bombs were a Japanese sentry post, the headquarters of the Japanese gendarmerie, and the Yokohama Spe«« Bank. One Chinese was killed and one injured. Japanese soldiers and polic* formed a cordon round the area.
