BIGAMY ADMITTED
Christopher Leo Michael Spellacy, .alias Christopher. Spellacy, a ship's fire- [ man and grocer, aged 51, pleaded guilty before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., yesterday to a charge of bigamy, and was committed to the • Supreme Court for sentence. Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle prose- [ cuted, and Mr, W. B. Brown appeared ifor Spellacy. Detective-Sergeant W. K. "Murray out-1 lined the case for the Crown, in which it was alleged that Spellacy was I married at St.. Vincent de Paul's | Church, Liverpool, England, in April, 1913, and later went through a form of marriage at the Terrace Congregational Church. Wellington, in 1928. Bail was.granted.
