SALE OF JERSEY HERD.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at Masterton, top quality cows, due early, were in keen demand at the dispersal sale of Mr. J. L. Heckler's grade Jersey herd. Top price of £15 10s was paid by Mr. O. C. Crawley for an outstanding young cow showing great type and quality. The springing heifers were mainly an attractive lot and sold readily at prices up to £9. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency made sales as follows:— Best early calvers, £15 10s to £9 10s; best late calvers, £10 15s to £7 10s; unsound cows, £4 5s to £3 15s; two-year heifers, £9 to £6 10s.
