INDIAN HOCKEY TEAM
NELSON BEATEN, 7-1 (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON, June 27. Playing on a ground which had a good surface but was sticky after overnight rain, the Indian hockey team beat Nelson by seven goals to one this afternoon in fin® but overcast weather. The Indians played one short in the second half, Feroz Khan having strained a jnuscle. As a result only two goals were scored in the second spell. Nelson put up a valiant fight, the defence of the goalkeeper. Holland, and the full-backs, Hunter and Frost, being outstanding. Sultan Khan played brilliantly. Scorers for the Indian team were Sultan Khan (4), Abdul Latif (2), and Shahabuddin. For Nelson Weston scored.
