STOLEN YACHT

BOYS'ADVENTURE 2000-MILE CRUISE MEXICO CITY, June 24. The yacht which was stolen by boys from Santa Cruz, California, after cruising for 2000 miles, was driven into Banderas Bay, on the west coast of Mexico, during a storm.

The boys, who told the authorities they intended to search for buried pirate gold, were detained.

Three boys, 16- to ■ 17-year-old high school students, stole a 52-foot sail and auxiliary engine yacht belonging to a Santa Cruz business man, stocked up with food supplies, and began a cruise of the Pacific which was designed to take them to Hong Kong via Honolulu. A coastguard cutter which set off in pursuit signalled a request for aeroplane assistance, and a fast airship under the 'command of a naval lieutenant joined in the search without result.
