WELLINGTON SCOTTISH BATTALION

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l read with interest the proposal to form a kilted regiment in Wellington. It was suggested that it would be allied to the Black Watch Regiment, and wear its tartan. I would like to suggest that the new regiment should be allied to that famous Territorial regiment, the Ldnidon Scottish, and wear its kilt, the Hodden Grey. This would end any controversy likely to arise on the question of tartan. —I am, etc., SCOTTISH.
