WEDDING

FAIRLESS-MARSHALI*

The wedding was solemnised at the Wesley Methodist Church, Taranaki Street, -recently, of Marie Primmer, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Marshall, Wellington South, and Joseph Lee, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Fairless, Kalwarra. The BeV. Percy Paris officiated, and Mr. Temple White presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivy-leaf lace, made in redingote style, with a full gored train, and an ivory satin slip. Her beautiful embroidered veil was held in position by a pearl coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, irises, cyclamen, jasmine, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Fairless, sister of the bridegroom (chief) and Miss Joyce Keeble, cousin of the bride. They were frocked alike in pink and blue taffeta, fashioned with gored pintucked skirts and bodices, Peter Pan collars, and little 'boleros embroidered with silver braid, i They wore haloes to match and carried shower bouquets of pink roses, heath, luculia, and carnations, with ribbons to tone.

Mr. K. Baoumgren was best man, and Mr. T. Fairless was groomsman.

The reception was held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Clyde Quay, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, assisted by Mrs. Fairless. Mrs. Marshall wore a Lido blue cloque frock with lace bodice, and hat to match, and the bridegroom's mother wore a light navy crepe frbck, with smocked bodice and double collar. Both wore shoulder. sprays Of carnations and cyclamen.

When Mr. and Mrs. J. Fairless left for the South Island, the bride travelled in a tailored ensemble of London rust, with brown fur and accessories to tone.
