RAINES DISQUALIFIED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, June 22. A wrestling bout in Hastings tonight between Andy Moen, 16st 81b, and Dick Raines, 16st 41b, ended with Raines being disqualified in the seventh round after each man had secured a fall.
The bout was.characterised by rough tactics from Raines, who was booed by the large crowd. Raines took the first fall in the fourth round after three back-loop slams and a body press. Moen equalised in the sixth, following a series of headlocks, with a body press. Raines threw Moen out of the ring" in the seventh, and refused to let him return, using his knee on Moen's face as he tried to come through the ropes.'Raines pulled Moen over the rope's twice and jolted him out again. The referee intervened when Raines jolted Moen when the latter was out o£ the ring. Raines persisted and was disqualified. BLOMFIELD BEATS KENNEDY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) :; CHRISTCHURCH, June 22. , Before a packed house tonight "Lofty" Blomfleld, who substituted for Pat Fraley, beat Jack Kennedy by one fall. : The bout was one of the most exciting and lawless of the season, and both men were many times cautioned by the referee.
