NURSES' HOURS

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—ln a recent Gazette notice there are issued new regulations for the hours of nurses working in private hospitals. It is' quite right that the hours should be reduced, and no one can grudge them" the reduction, but why should members of religious Orders be excepted? Since the hospitals of religious Orders are working in competition with other private hospitals, it is' surely not a distinction that can be equitably made.—l am, eta,

CITIZEN.
