PERSONAL NOTES
Mrs. Peter Fraser left Wellington last night with her husband, the Hon. P. Fraser, for Dunedin. She will return on Saturday morning. Mrs. George Saunders, Eotorua, is visiting her father, Sir James Grose, Wadestown. Mrs. Saunders arrived at the end of last week and will remain in Wellington for about a month. Miss Barbara Greenwood, who has been paying several visits to friends m the Wairarapa, will leave for her home in Christchurch on Tuesday night. Mrs. F. Stringer, Wellington, is visiting New Plymouth, where she is the guest of her daughter, Dr. Marie Buchler. Miss Dora Mason, Sydney, arrived by the Awatea yesterday to visit her mother, Mrs. H. B. Mason, Cockayne Boad, Ngaio. Mrs. M. Cumberworth has returned to Wellington from New Plymouth, where she stayed with her mother, Mrs. D. Hutchen. Mesdames Hartley Smith (Christchurch), J. Aiken (Flixton, England), J H. Gibbons (Waione), J. J. Martin Deber (Sydney), Miss A. Tweedale (Flixton) are guests at the Koyai uaK Hotel. Mrs Foster-Barham, Nelson, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Awatea from Sydney, Mrs. J. Griffen and Miss Helen Griffen, Oriental Bay, who have been visiting Nelson, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. M. Tonks, Palmerston North, is visiting Wellington and is staying at the Grand Hote}. Mrs. A. Freer, Auckland, is staying at the Empire HoteL Guests at the Hotel St. George Include Mesdames A. F. W. Plumptre (Toronto), Alexander Kipnis (Sydney), H. W. Thompson (Napier), Teviotdale (Wanganui). < Lady Wilford left by the Tainui from London on June 11. Mrs. J. Houston (Auckland), Mrs. J. D. Blundell (Wellington), Mrs. C. Peters (Hawera), are staying at the Midland Hotel. Lady Metcalfe (England), Mesdames Matson.and D. Matson (Christchurch), Blair (Hamilton), J. L. Jeffenes (Napier), J. Tripe, A. H. Herbert (Eketahuna), W. B. Tripe (East Africa), McLellan (Ceylon), - Sligcher (Java), Misses G. Vaile (Minneapolis, U.S.A.), B. A. McCarthy, A. V. Beale (England), Greenslade (Dunedin), Baikes (Foxton) are staying at the Empire HoteL Miss T. Strawbridge, Sydney, arrived by the Awatea to visit her grandmother, Mrs. Strawbridge, Koromiko Road, Wellington. . •
