The date for the launching of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner, Dominion Monarch (26,500 tons) from the Wallsend yard of Swan, Hunter, and Wigham Richardson, Ltd., has been fixed for July 27, says "The Post's" London correspondent writing on June 1. The Dominion Monarch will be the Tyne's most important launch this year and the biggest merchant ship completed on the river for more than 30 years. The vessel is the latest of eight liners of 82,000 tons which have been built on the Tyne during the past ten years for the New Zealand trade.
