FARMERS IN LONDON
A party of New Zealand farmers were guests of the Port of London Authority recently on a visit to London's principal docks. After being received at Tower Pier by Admiral A. G. Hotham, C.8., chairman of the maintenance committee of the authority, and Mr. A. E. Wildey, public relations officer, the party embarked in the St. Katharine and proceeded down the river to the Royal Docks. During the cruise through the Royal Victoria, Albert, and King George V Docks the New Zealanders were interested to see the discharge of refrigerated meat, dairy produce, and green fruit from liners whose names are as familiar in New Zealand as in London. |
