VICTORIA LEAGUE

"EMPIRE BALL" TOMORROW

Many pleasant preparations are being made for the success of the Victoria League ball, which will take place in St. Francis Hall tomorrow night. Special committees for the, decorations, floor, supper, and general arrangements have been hard at work, and there is also a reception committee for their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Galway, who will arrive at the hall at nine o'clock. Much interest is centred in the costume dances, a gavotte and a minuet, which are being produced by Miss Beere and Mrs. P. Cooke. Pleasant entertainments have been arranged for the girls taking part before the dance, the minuet girls being entertained by Mrs. Rodie at her home in Aurora Terrace, and the gavotte girls by Mrs. Longmore at 15 Brougham Street. It is hoped that all interested who have not already secured invitatiojj cards will do> so at once.
