PERSONAL NOTES

Mrs. J. Farrell, Auckland, is visiting "Wellington and is staying at the Empire Hotel. Miss V. V. Hynes, Tai Tapu, Canterbury, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to the south on Friday. Miss J. McClatchie, Christchurch, arrived at Wellington on Saturday en route to Auckland. Miss Dorothy Broad has been visiting Wellington and returned to Greymouth at the end of last week. Miss Molly Meyer, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. W. H. Saunders, Masterton. Mrs. P. R. M. Hanna, Karori, is visiting Central Otago and Queenstown. She is-expected to return to Wellington at the beginning of next week. Dr. and Mrs. Ludbrook, Auckland, left by the Mataroa on Saturday for England.

Miss Bonnie Shaw, of Sydney, arrived by the Awatea this morning and is staying with her friend Miss Jo Featherston. Miss Shaw will remain in New Zealand for an extended holiday. Miss N. Williams, Masterton, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home.

Mrs. M. B. Bergin, Foxton, is visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. John Reynolds, Palmerston North, were weekend visitors to Wellington.

Mrs. A. M. Fantham, Wellington, who has been staying with Mrs. S. G. Smith, New Plymouth, left on Saturday for Wanganui. Mrs. Alex Don, Masterton, her mother, Mrs. W. Paterson, Hastings, and Miss D. Bulkley, Wellington, are visiting Auckland in the course of a motoring tour of the North Island.

Mrs. F. Sanderson Robins has returned to Wellington after a month spent in the South Island visiting relatives and friends.

Miss Rona Olsen, international lecturer, will speak at the Dominion Farmers' Institute tomorrow at 7.45 p.m. lor the psychology centre. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hunt, Invercargill, returned south today after a holiday visit to Wellington. flyricc Jean Hahn, Christchurch, the New Zealand woman champion roller skater, returned last week* from Sydney, where she represented the' Dominion in skating championships held in connection with the Australian Centenary celebrations. Miss Hahn was first in the waltzing championship, second in the combined waltzing and two-step Championship, third in the two-step championship, and third in the all-round championship.

Mrs. A. Jensen (Christchurch), Mrs. ~T. R. Barber (Picton), and Miss M. Latham (Palyierston North) are staying at the: Hotel St. George. Mrs. J. A. McLeod (Gisborne) and Mrs. F. C. Cameron (Masterton) are staying at the Midland Hotel. Mrs. E. Potter (Christchurch), Mrs. R. Crocombe (Dunedin), Mrs. Hood (Wanganui), Miss F. Robertson (Christchurch) are among the guests at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. S. M. Macalister, Invercargill, arrived lor a visit to Wellington during the weekend.
