TROOPS IN ANDALUSIA
OBJECTION TO ITALIANS
LEAD BY OFFICERS
(United Pr.ess Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.)
GIBRALTAR, June 5.
Reports are being circulated that a revolt has occurred in Andalusia amongst members of General Franco's forces in which officers under General de Lano's leadership are objecting to the presence of Italians, fearing that they are consolidating their position with a view to remaining after the war. The officers are reported to be acting as the ring-leaders of the revolt. Anti-Fascist slogans condemning Italians and Germans are painted on walls in La Linea, and leaflets to a similar effect have been widejy scattered. Numerous arrests are reported and a very strict censorship has been introduced. A Seville message declares that the reports are without foundation. .
