THE CITY ORGAN

(To the Editor.)

Sir, In reply to your correspondent, j "Johnny Citizen," may I say that he is evidently unaware of the important musical function to be staged at the Town Hall next Tuesday evening, when Wellington lovers of organ music will have the privilege of hearing perhaps the finest exponent yet heard in this country, Mile Renee Nizan. Really expert lady organists are very rare. One of international renown is almost unique, and <this distinction can legitimately be claimed; by Mile Nizan, whose performances have caused a furore wherever she has played in the world's chief centres. Let us hope, with "Johnny Citizen," that leading organists be engaged regularly to play our Town Hall's splendid organ. I suggest that .Mile Nizan be approached to give a series of recitals as a beginning.—l am, etc.,

L. D. AUSTIN.
