SELLERS ANXIOUS (By Telegraph—Press Absii.—Copyright.) LONDON, June 5. The butter market has continued weak despite the temporary recovery early in the week. The anxiety of most holders at the moment is to keep selling. The Continental situation is naturally affecting the market. -i. Danish is back to 122s to 124s without creating much interest, while Polish and other secondary qualities have sold as low as 112s. Cheese is sympathetically easy, with little business passing. | ' BRITISH WAR LOAN. (British Official Wireless.) ■ EUGBY, June 3. ; The British War Loan, 3i per cent., [ is quoted at £102 Is 3d. "THE BEST FOE YEARS." . • The report of the Devonport Ferry ■ Co., Auckland, states that' the, past 1 season was very successful owing to ■ the exceptionally good weather experii enced. ilt was the best for a number . of years and enabled the company to ■ meet the largely-increased wages costs, • although the full extent of these costs , has not yet been felt. A rise in net ' trading profit of £917 was shown in the accounts of the company for the year ended April 30. Earnings for the period were £19,939, after providing for depreciation and directors fees. LAMB IN LONDON. The Bank of New Zealand, produce 1 department, has received the following ' advice from its London office as at close ' of business this week". —The market is ! short of supplies .of wethers, prices are ! nominal. The market for ewes is quiet ; and unchanged. There is a lair de- [ mand for lambs. Demand and prices for chilled beef are steady. Wethers, light 5d to 5 7-8 d per lb, heavy 4Jd.to a 7-8 d; ewes,' 23d to 4d; lambs, 2 s 7Jd to 7 5-Bd, B's 7 3-8 d to 7Jd, 4 s 7 1-M to 71d, seconds 7Jd to 7Jd; chilled hinds, sid to fortja 3 5-8 d to 3 7-Bd.
