North Drive—Advanced ; 7ft, total 25ft; shaft, competed 6ft, l total 144 ft, chamber (No. 6) reached. , Sent to battery, 65 tons stone. j ALEXANDER. Alexander Mines, Ltd., returns for the month of May are as follows: — i Battery Department, 160 tons of ore crushed for 98oz Bdwt of melted gold; Cyanide Department, 120 tons of sands treated for 38oz 3dwt of. bullion; total estimated valuei, £895; in addition, 6 tons of concentrates were saved valued at £200. In estimating the above values gold has been taken at 140s per fine ounce. WORKSOP EXTENDED. Worksop Extended Gold Dredging return ending June 2, is 290z for 122 hours and 10,000 yards. New River Gold Dredging return during the week ended June 2 was 28oz of gold from 11,000 yards treated in, 121 hours' dredging time. WHITE'S ELECTRIC RETURN. White's Electric Gold Dredging Co. (Barrytown), Ltd., reports a return of gold won by this company's dredge during the week ended June 2 as 320z of gold from 6240 yards treated in 122 hours' dredging time.
