DARGAVILLE NEEDS
REQUESTS TO MINISTER

DARGAVILLE, May 17.
The Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. Jones) was entertained at dinner by the president, Mr. W. R. Sanders, and members of the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce. Also present were the Rt. Hon. J. G, Coates, the Mayorelect, Mr. Raymond Gibson, and Mr. J. G. Barclay, M.P. for Marsden. At the conclusion the chamber asked for improved telephone facilities at the post office, assistance towards the establishment of an aerodrome, and also that the Minister give his assistance in getting the Government to proceed with a scheme sponsored by the chamber for the establishment of small farmers upon an area of 4000 acres on a coastal belt about seven miles from Dargaville.
